About Me

I started my career as a scientist in the NHS - and I am grateful for the many lessons that taught me. However, unfulfilled, I decided to fully embrace a career change to find something that I really care about, that feels like me.

Having worked in many helping roles since, I found people would naturally open up to me about their struggles. This led me to explore a career in counselling.

Having had my own counselling along the way with different practitioners, I experienced first hand the impact good counselling can have and I hold these experiences dear to my heart. They are experiences that changed me, and led to change in my life.

I feel so privileged to now be a part of others lives in the same way.

So here I am!

But like you, there is much more to me than the label of counsellor.

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, carer and dog mum. Break any of those roles down and I could list 10 more words for each! I also like chocolate, rollercoasters and my garden - and I am a lifelong Cher fan.

The point is, we are all so many things. One of my favourite parts about counselling is working together to discover who we are now, what we don’t know yet, and who we want to become.

So at the heart of it, I’m an optimist, a romantic, a dreamer and sometimes a realist too. I won't skirt round an issue or shy away from an uncomfortable truth - everything is welcome.

Good counselling is often about the right fit. If you like the sound of what you’ve read, why not get in touch and start our journey together.
